Margaret Taylor

Margaret is an experienced clinician with a background in a variety of Health and Education settings. She has helped children with a wide range of difficulties including language delays and disorders and speech sound production difficulties, but her passion is for assisting children to learn to read and write effectively. Margaret works with students just learning to read through to students with writing and spelling difficulties. She is qualified to conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language and learning difficulties (including Dyslexia) and can provide therapy programmes designed to help students reach their potential in the classroom.

Margaret is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and undertakes regular professional development.

She has a large focus on literacy, as she believes that being able to read is the entry to a world of knowledge, entertainment and connectivity. Literacy is a language based skill which needs to be taught. Each child brings to the reading and writing process their own set of pre literacy skills of which speech and language is a key set. She endeavours to work with children and families to help develop a strong base in speech and language on which they can build their literacy skills.
